Tremola Road

The world-famous serpentine road on slopes of the Val Tremola was created with the construction of the Gotthard Pass road in Swiss Alps. The road is six to seven metres wide and bordered by retaining walls up to eight metres thick. The old drystone walls still exist in places. The granite cobblestones and kilometre stones have for the most part been retained but the two road inspectors’ houses have vanished. Artwork with Photoshop.
