Phaung Daw Oo Festival

Phaung Daw OO festival is the biggest religious event taking place in Shan State. It takes place from the first day of the waxing moon to the third day after full moon in september/october.
As the big barge, carrying the 4 Buddha images, comes by, all the spectators join with their boats in order to accompany the Royal Barge to the next monastery.
