Camels are symbolic of the desert and an integral part of life in Arabia, having arrived here from Africa 2,000 years ago, introduced by the original nomadic wanderers and herders.
Experiencing a ride through the dunes on a traditional ‘ship of the desert’ is a fantastic experience, and rising into air for the first time is unlikely to be forgotten. Sitting atop one of these strange and lovely creatures, you’ll soon adopt the gentle rocking motion, and experience has shown us that a 25 minute ride out into the distant dunes is sufficient for most first-time riders, although longer and more strenuous rides may be arranged.
